Celebrate Christmas in July with the 2023 Hallmark Ornament Premiere! This complete guide will help you make the most out of the event.

Every year I look forward to the Hallmark Ornament Premiere. It’s that first taste of Christmas each year and it really gets me excited for the upcoming season.

The Hallmark Ornament Premiere is even more special this year because it’s the 50th anniversary of Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments!

The event takes place in July each year and is just part of Hallmark’s Christmas in July events. This year the Hallmark Ornament Premiere takes place July 15th–23rd.

The first day is usually kicked off with lots of fun things in store. My local store often has treats and other goodies. They also have the store decorated for Christmas and play Christmas music. There should be no surprise that I love it.

If you are new to Hallmark Keepsake Ornament collecting or just haven’t gone to the event before this guide can help you make the most of the event so it can become a fun tradition for you as well.

Hallmark Ornament Premiere Guide

The Hallmark Ornament Premiere can be enjoyed in-store as well as online. This allows everyone to join in the fun even if you don’t have a store near you.

I do recommend going to a store sometime if you are able because there is something extra magical about visiting the store during the premiere but you can make it fun at home as well, this guide will help you do just that!

Get Your Hallmark Dream Book

You can get a preview of what Hallmark is offering this year with the Hallmark Dream Book. It’s usually released a few months before the premiere so you have time to start planning.

This year’s Hallmark Dream Book and events are even more special since it’s the 50th anniversary. You can get your Dream Book at your local start starting April 14th or you can view a digital copy right now.

Create Your Hallmark Ornament Wishlist

The first thing you should do is make your ornament wishlist. This can help you make sure you know what you are looking for, stay on budget, and make the most of your time shopping.

You can use the Hallmark Dream Book to help you plan. You can create your wish list on their website or use their download. You can also get my ornament wish list for free. It’s great for using with myChristmas planner and can be used for ornaments from any store.

Plan Your Budget

Hallmark ornaments are extremely high quality and will last you a lifetime if you care for them. I have at least one Hallmark ornament for every year I’ve been alive and they all still look beautiful.

You do pay for this quality so they aren’t super cheap ornaments. They do have a wide range of prices so you can find something in your budget but it’s a good idea to set a budget because it’s easy to go overboard when you see all of the fun Christmas things.

Having your wish list can help you decide what you want to spend. I actually start saving a few months before the event to help me set my budget. Whatever I save is my budget.

If you haven’t saved look at what you can actually afford right now. Be mindful of the upcoming holiday season and what you need to budget for it as well.

Start Your Gift Shopping

I’ve given Hallmark ornaments as gifts a lot. I love to give newlyweds a first Christmas ornament, there are also ornaments for new babies, new pets, new homes, etc…

Hallmark is great about creating ornaments to appeal to all kinds of people and their interests and hobbies. Every time I gift a Hallmark ornament the recipient has loved the ornament.

This is something to think about when making your list and your Christmas budget. If you are going to pick up some gifts your list and budget should reflect that.
