Entertaining Tips

  • Set up a self-serve drink station with ice, bottled beverages, and red Solo cups so guests can help themselves.Be sure to have plenty of ice:)
  • Make sure there are enough plates, utensils, napkins, and place trash cans handy but close.
  • Play fun Super Bowl or football related music in the background to set the mood.
  • Decorate with team banners, balloons, or get plates and cups in the team colors!
  • Have some fun games like square pools or prop betting boards ready for people who want to make the game interesting.

Should I make anything in advance?

Yes, definitely prepare you party dips, desserts, or any dishes you can refrigerate or warm up easily ahead of time. This allows you more time to enjoy the game and hang with your friends and family.

How much food should I have?

Plan for at least a couple of party appetizers per guest, plus beverages, sides, and dessert. It’s better to have too much than run out.

The rule for entertaining is 2-3 pieces/servings per person per hour. This can vary depending on the types of dishes you are serving.

Do guests prefer sweet or savory snacks?

I don’t know about you but when I have something salty, I always want something sweet right after. Try and keep an good mix of the two or serve something that has both!
