Kanye West will have to come up with a billion dollars if it wants to sell “White Lives Matter” merchandise in America, the brand’s current owners have said.

No sales plans

The pair told TMZ they weren’t looking to sell the rights, but a 10-figure offer could cause them to change their minds.

And said their lawyers would take legal action against West if he tries to sell one of his shirts, although it can be difficult to acquire these rights because West is no longer a billionaire.

He lost a series of business partnerships, including Adidas and Balenciaga, after anti-Semitic comments he made, including saying he wanted to do a “death con 3” about the Jewish people.

West sparked controversy when he appeared at Paris Fashion Week wearing a White Lives Matter t-shirt alongside Naomi Campbellin what was a tough October for the rapper.

And and Hall said they hoped White Lives Matter would stop being used as a term and added that they hadn’t bought the brand trying to profit from it.

However, under US law a mark must be used in commerce if it is to be retained – they can’t just sit on it – so And and Hall hinted to TMZ that they were looking for a “one-size-fits-all” way around the issue.
