During the ceremony, UTP Chancellor Tan Sri Dr Mohd Hassan Marican also presented the Chancellor’s Silver Award to Electrical and Electronic Engineering graduate Wong Lin Yong and the Chancellor’s Bronze Award to Nurziaty Nordin, graduate in information systems. A graduate in chemical engineering, Dr. Mohamad Fakhrul Ridhwan Samsudin won the award for best former researcher at the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) level and Farnaz Namaziyan from Iran, a graduate in petroleum engineering, won the award for best international student. A total of 1,438 graduates received doctorate, master’s and bachelor’s degrees in various disciplines during the convocation ceremony.
